Privacy

Adaptive Learning Technologies is designed to collect the minimum information needed to provide and protect a learning account.

Privacy by designWe do not sell learner information or use learning data for advertising.

Information we need

For an individual learning account, the service may use the learner's name, email address, a protected password credential, a random internal account identifier, course access records, learning progress, trial/purchase records, and limited security/usage records needed to operate the service.

Information we do not need for ordinary individual accounts

We do not ask for a learner's Social Security number, home address, date of birth, or payment-card number. Payment-card information is handled by the hosted payment provider rather than stored by Adaptive Learning Technologies.

How account credentials are protected

Names and email addresses are encrypted at rest. Passwords are protected with one-way password hashing and are not stored in readable or decryptable form. Password-reset and email-verification codes are single-use, short-lived, and rate-limited. Authenticated sessions use secure server-side session records and protected browser cookies over HTTPS.

AI tutoring

The adaptive engine decides what course content and learning context is needed. The conversational AI provider receives only the approved instructional context and learner request required to produce the explanation; the application is designed not to include the learner's account email in those prompts.

Institutional use

School and institutional deployments may require additional contractual privacy terms, data-processing agreements, roster controls, retention rules, or legally required notices before deployment. Those requirements are handled as part of the institutional agreement.

Data minimization and retention

We retain account and learning information only as needed to provide access, preserve progress, meet contractual or legal obligations, prevent abuse, and maintain security. Account-deletion and institutional retention procedures will be documented in the production support process.
